I graduated from Leeds University in 2001. Having worked initially in Mirfield and Keighley, I bought Ilkley Dental Care Limited, along with Owen Higgs in 2006. I believe in providing the highest standards in all aspects of dentistry, treating people how I would like to be treated myself. I take particular pride in making a real difference to patients, helping them to achieve a healthy smile they can be proud of.

Outside the practice, when not taking my children to piano, brownies, swimming, football and class parties, I cling on to my youth by running, cycling and playing football!

I graduated from Guy's Dental Hospital in 2001 and ended up in lovely Yorkshire to follow my wife who is a Yorkshire lass.

I started work in general practice in Keighley and in 2006 moved over to Ilkley Dental Care Limited with Philip Moore.

The challenge of working in practice has been an enjoyable one and it has given me a range of skills that allows me to consider every patient and to treat them according to their specific needs.

Dentistry is not a one size fits all job. Looking at each patient and successfully completing their treatment, whether it is a check-up, small filling or a large cosmetic case, is a real pleasure.

I consider that successful dental treatment depends entirely on the trust that must exist between the patient and he dentist and building that relationship is one of the most rewarding parts of my job.

In my spare time, which is not much as I have 3 daughters, I like rugby and skiing and am an awful but enthusiastic golfer.

Originally from Warwickshire, I graduated from Leeds University in 2010. I previously worked in Pontefract and undertook an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery post at Bradford Royal Infirmary. I also work in general practice in Leeds during the week.

I passed the necessary examinations to be elected onto the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
With a keen interest in all aspects of restorative dentistry, I like to ensure my patients feel at ease throughout treatment. I am also a qualified Invisalign provider.

I am currently undertaking the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners Restorative Dentistry course, leading to the Diploma or MSc. This teaches and assesses how to plan and carryout further complex treatment planning and treatments.

Away from dentistry, I'm an avid follower of rugby union, most recently playing at Ilkley RFC, and am a huge Leicester Tigers supporter. I also keep myself fit at gym training.

I am also a Leeds University graduate, having qualified in 2008. Although from Essex originally, I have developed an attachment to Yorkshire after living here since 2003. I now live in Harrogate with my wife and young son since 2013, and my in-laws are in the nearby areas of Addingham and Darley.

I believe that people deserve to smile, talk, and eat with confidence; and thus working with our patients to achieve their oral health goals is important to me. Along with my colleagues here, I believe in treating people in a personal and caring manner - just how we would like to be treated ourselves.

Since graduating I’ve developed a keen interest in Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry and have undertaken a number of postgraduate courses, including Implant and Periodontal Surgery courses in Nottingham and London, and I’m currently completing my Master's Degree at Warwick University. With these skill sets, I can help our patients improve both function and aesthetics of their teeth; with the ultimate goal of providing a long-lasting solution.

Outside of practice I keep busy by going to the local gym, raising money for local charities via challenges such as The Yorkshire Warrior run, going for walks around the Yorkshire Dales, attempting to play golf, and my new love, cycling!
