Bridges are one method used to replace missing teeth.

Missing teeth are replaced due to concerns of aesthetics (especially at the front of your mouth), improve/maintain chewing, to prevent adjacent teeth drifting into the gap potentially causing alterations in the way your upper and lower jaws meet. All of which can lead to tooth and gum disease. Bridges are anchored into the adjacent teeth and are fixed in place permanently with dental cement. They are usually made to be very life like and can often not be differentiated from your natural teeth. There are many different ways of anchoring bridges to adjacent teeth and different methods and materials that can be used to make bridges, which we will be happy to advise you on at your appointment.
